Interior Designer + Project Manager

Kari Campbell Interiors is a full-service interior design firm located in Minneapolis. We specialize in high-end, laid-back living for custom residential interiors.

WHO YOU ARE:

​

Both a designer and a project manager, you have an amazing eye for design and love coming up with fresh and innovative ideas and solutions. You have a high attention to detail, are self-directed, friendly, with a sense of humor, and always see the glass half full. You are smart, communicate clearly, love to juggle multiple projects and responsibilities, and you do whatever it takes to accomplish a successful job.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

​

  • Works with clients to determine initial goals and requirements for the space to be designed.

  • Conducts site measurements and draws accurate as-built floor plans in AutoCAD (or similar) software.

  • Creates new floor plans, elevation drawings, electrical layouts, etc.

  • Sources products and finishes.

  • Creates conceptual and detailed design presentations.

  • Creates 3D renderings.

  • Creates Spec Books and FF&E Schedules.

  • Collaborates with architects, builders, and contractors on details of the design.

  • Prepares proposals, purchase orders, and invoices, adhering to project and budget specifications.

  • Oversees the installation of materials, furniture, and other design elements.

  • Manages projects from start to finish including project schedules, budgets, client expectations, and communication.

  • Maintains current knowledge of trends and materials, techniques, and other developments in interior design.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

​

  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design or related field required; with coursework in computer-aided design in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software.

  • Minimum of three years of experience running interior design projects; working with clients, builders, and contractors in the field.

  • Graphic design experience (Canva, Adobe Products, etc.) – preferred.

  • Knowledge of Houzz Software – preferred.

  • Experience with AI – preferred.

  • Strong portfolio that showcases your previous personal work.

  • Reliable car and valid driver’s license to go to and from project sites, showrooms, meetings, etc.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

​

This is a part-time position (approximately 20 hours/week) with potential to expand.

​
