Edina Refresh

Photographer: Katie Cannon

The bones were great in this Edina, MN home; it just needed a major update, top to bottom. We started with the dining room, powder bathroom and living room.

In the dining room we added a chair rail for some much-needed architecture and chose two different wallpapers to be installed above and below the trim. We incorporated, but updated, some of our clients' existing furniture and family heirlooms. Re-upholstering their antique side chairs in a modern, dip-dyed fabric gave them brand-new life, and a pair of matching modern lamps made their sideboard look current again. Perhaps our favorite piece in the house is the massive, modern beaded chandelier above the dining table. A showstopper for sure.

We updated their powder bathroom with a modern floral wallpaper, new fixtures and finishes.

The living room was stripped bare and then filled with all new furniture, including a custom armoire desk that our client requested. Now she can shut the doors on any unsightly office mess.

We finished off the project with a mix of old and new accessories that we styled and placed while our clients were on vacation. They came home to a dazzling new space they are now happy to call home.
